Obtaining a map of parcel logs

Access the Full Circle Community Mapping and Planning Project site using the following (URL) http://www.chicagoareahousing.org/fc/index.htm

  1. Click on the Partner Links, to access quick links for the full circle partner organizations.
  2. Click on the Map & Parcel Find by tract :  (URL) http://www.CMAP.org/fc/map.asp

You will be prompted to type in your User ID and Password.

Click on the Login tab and the following will appear:

‘You are now logged in. Click here to continue’

Click on the hyperlink and the screen below will appear allowing you the option to either view a map of a census tract or search for a parcel within a census tract.

Choose the appropriate census tract number.

You  have other options including that of viewing a list of all the census blocks in a particular census tract or a list of all streets in that particular tract. Additional links are also provided at the bottom of the view frame as shown below.

 

Viewing a map of the log status of the Census Tract

Click on the Map option and a Land Use Map of the selected tract will appear by default.

The Map layers will appear on the upper left hand corner of the screen above the map legend.

You can move and change the order of the map layers as follows;

  1. Click on the Change  Layer Order
  2. On the Change  Data Layer Order screen,  Click on the layer you want to move  to highlight it and then move it up or down by clicking on the appropriate arrows below the layer order

  1. To display other map layers, check the appropriate box and then click on Redraw Map option. This tab should be clicked each time the map data layer is re-ordered.
  2. To  view which parcels have been logged,  Click on the map layer drop up menu at the bottom of the map and select This parcel has been Logged option as shown below

A map showing all the parcels in the tract should appear indicating which parcels have been logged and which ones have not been logged as shown below.

Similarly, clicking on a different parcel attributes will bring up a map showing existing status of all the parcels for the selected data field. The maps are interactive, allowing zoom-in, zoom-out and pan functions.

  1. To obtain a print of the map click on Print map   

     

  1. You will be prompted to enter a title and a secondary title for the map, and then Click Next and the map will be printed.

  1. To change the appearance of the map layers double click  the appropriate active  layer to access  the option of changing

a.                   General look of the map

b.                   Labels

c.                   points

d.                   polygons
